If a feeding tube is accidentally dislodged or removed, it may only take 1-2 hours for the stoma tract to close. It is therefore crucial to maintain stoma tract patency and to avoid additional invasive procedures to either dilate or create a new stoma, that the tracts integrity is maintained.

The STOMAFIT™ Stoma Stopper is designed specifically to maintain stoma tract integrity and patency until a replacement feeding tube can be inserted.

  • Polyurethane is preferred by clinicians and patients, as it reduces kinking during insertion while remaining soft and comfortable when in situ.
  • Stem and retention disc Polyurethane , firm enough to place without stiffener and soft enough for patient comfort when in situ.
  • Available in Frsizes from 8 Fr to 20 Fr, with lengths of 15 mm, 30 mm, 60 mm and 100 mm, suitable for both pediatrics and adults.
  • Stem is rounded and gently tapered for an atraumatic insertion.
  • The retention disc is color-coded according to Fr size - easy identification for replacement tube selection.
  • Individually supplied with a hydrocolloid dressing for securing while waiting for tube replacement.
